Fraud Prevention

We’re currently receiving reports of unathorized text messages to Equity Bank debit and credit card customers asking for confirmation of purchases.

Please be on alert for these types of messages and do not act if a message appears suspicious or is from an unfamiliar sender.

At Equity Bank, we will NEVER call you and ask for the following information:

  • Online banking credentials
  • Debit card information
  • Full social security number

We will call you with important notifications, and will not require re-entry of debit card numbers into unfamiliar platforms. If you suspect something is unusual with a communication that you receive, please reach out to Equity Bank’s customer care team at 1 (888) 733-5041 to report the situation to a verified Equity Bank representative.
