KIRKSVILLE, Mo., (Aug. 14, 2026)— Equity Bank held an open house and ribbon cutting at its Kirksville Regional Hub location Wednesday. Members of the media, the public, and the Kirksville Area Chamber of Commerce joined Equity leaders for the event, which culminated in self-guided tours of the new building.
Chamber Director Marie Murphee, Equity Regional President Norman Belitz, and Equity President & CEO Rick Sems delivered remarks to the crowd.
“This is our kind of town,” Sems said. “We love being a part of Kirksville. We really look to be part of the community for a long period of time.”
The new “Kirksville South” bank at 1002 S. Baltimore St. brings together Equity’s former locations at 214 S. Franklin St. and 1701 N. Green St. under one roof. The consolidation allows customers to enjoy expanded services, modern amenities, and a more convenient banking experience in a newly constructed 6,600-square-foot facility. Equity maintains its location inside the Kirksville Walmart at 2206 N. Baltimore St.
The bank features four Video Tellers— one walk-up machine and three drive-throughs— offering service in English and Spanish with expanded hours. Pictures of the surrounding community and custom local artwork adorn the walls of the state-of-the-art facility.
“This is also proud for me because my son [Benjamin] drew out this design, and then it went to Hutton [Construction], and they took it and they made it into what it is today,” Sems said. “This is now our flagship regional hub. We want to be the community bank to bring the technology and to bring the relationships into the towns that make America great.”
