Equity Bank announces the following new hires in its markets serving Arkansas, Kansas and Missouri.
Vice President, Deposit Services Manager, Wichita
Evette Beckman joined Equity Bank in January as Vice President and Deposit Services Manager, based in Equity’s headquarters at 7701 E. Kellogg in Wichita. Beckman previously spent almost 18 years in a variety of operations roles for Sunflower Bank in Salina, Kansas, and most recently served as Deposit Operations Director from 2007 until 2016.
Beckman will oversee Equity’s deposit support services and contribute to product development and quality care strategy. She has been involved in the Salina, Kansas community for many years, including Chairperson and Board of Directors roles for the Salina area United Way, and Site Council for USD 305.
Assistant Vice President, Branch Manager, Kansas City Northland
Chris Collins joined Equity Bank on January 9 as manager of the company’s Northland KC location in Burlington Creek, just off of I-29 and 64th Street at 6200 NW 63rd Terrace. Collins will oversee branch operations and personnel at Equity’s Northland location, and will contribute to business development in Parkville, Kansas City, and the surrounding area.
Collins has more than 10 years in banking with a variety of experience, most recently as a mortgage consultant with Community America Credit Union and as a VP and Branch Manager with CapFed.
Collins is an alumnus of Kansas State, and involved locally as a Board and Executive Committee member with the Parkville area Chamber of Commerce. He also has been a Board member for the Main Street Parkville Association and the Parkville Community Development Corporation.
Financial Planner, Equity Financial Services Group
Kate Hagman joined Equity Financial Services Group as financial planner covering Wichita for the investments division of Equity Bank.
Hagman is a certified financial planner with Series 66, Series 7, and Kansas Insurance licenses. She will specialize in comprehensive financial planning for customers, and will be based at Equity’s West Wichita location near 21st and Maize.
Hagman previously worked in financial planning with Ameriprise Financial Advisors and Transamerica Financial Advisors. Hagman is a native of Lenora, Kansas and alumnus of Kansas State, with an M.S. in secondary education from Fort Hays State University and a graduate certificate in financial planning from K-State.
Project Manager, Wichita
Mary Potter joined Equity Bank in early 2017 as a member of Equity Bank’s deposit operations and electronic services team. Potter most recently worked at Sunflower Bank in Salina in a similar role. As a project manager, she will work closely with Equity Bank teams to prioritize software, product, and service development across Equity’s 34 locations.
Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending, Pea Ridge
Equity Bank announces the hiring of Rick Daniel as Senior Vice President of Commercial Lending, based out of their Pea Ridge, Arkansas branch location at 198 Slack St.
Originally from Rogers, AR, Daniel has 27 years of experience in the financial industry, most recently as SVP of Commercial Lending for Integrity First Bank. Daniel will be involved in commercial lending throughout northwest Arkansas and southwest Missouri.
He has been active in the community through several organizations including the Rogers Chamber of Commerce, The Adult Development Center, and the United Way. Daniel maintains this community involvement as a member of the Rogers Rotary Club.
Vice President, Human Resource Manager, Wichita
Equity Bank announces that Mark Taylor has been named Vice President and Human Resources Manager based in Wichita at 7701 E Kellogg.
Taylor will help provide Human Resources services for the bank’s 37 locations from the bank’s Wichita headquarters. A Kansas native, Taylor has worked as Vice President of Human Resources and Marketing for CornerBank, and later Vice President and Benefits Manager for RCB Bank following RCB’s 2016 acquisition of CornerBank.
Mark Taylor received his Senior Professional in Human Resources certification in 2016, demonstrating his mastery of the strategic and policy-making aspects of HR. He is involved in his community where he is currently serving as Chairman for the Winfield Area Chamber of Commerce and has been a member of its board of directors since 2014. Taylor has also been a member of the Society of Human Resources Management since 2013.
Mortgage Loan Officer, Pea Ridge
Equity Bank announces that Dathan Wilson has been named Mortgage Loan officer based out of the bank’s Pea Ridge branch location at 198 Slack St.
Wilson, who attended college at nearby North Arkansas College in Harrison, will concentrate on mortgage loans services for the bank’s Arkansas market. He worked in loan processing from 2012 - 2016, and has worked as a closer for Lenders Title Company from 2016 until May of this year. Wilson is active in the Pea Ridge community through participation with his church, the Calvary Tabernacle. An enthusiastic outdoorsman, Wilson spends his time enjoying nature with his wife, Denae, while also pursuing his passion for music in his spare time.
