To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person or business that opens an account or applies for a loan.
What this means to you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We may also ask to see your driver's license or other identifying documents.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants must be (1) a U.S. Citizen or Permanent U.S. Resident; AND (2) a resident of Kansas or Missouri, or an existing Equity Bank customer to apply for a new account online. You will also be required to come into one of our branches to sign the signature cards so we can verify your identity. A Customer Service Representative will notify you when your signature cards are ready.
All new accounts are verified through Chexsystems.
