Pepper Joins Equity Bank as EVP, Commercial Banking Leader

WICHITA, Kansas (July 30, 2013) – Equity Bank is pleased to announce that Sam Pepper has joined the bank's leadership team as Executive Vice President and Commercial Banking Leader.


Pepper will be based in the bank's Wichita headquarters, but will oversee and contribute to the bank's growth and service of all its commercial loans in various markets. In addition, he'll be a member of Equity Bank's executive leadership team and will be instrumental in strategic decisions throughout the bank's Wichita and Kansas City metro areas.

Pepper joins Equity Bank after several years in the Kansas City metro banking community, most recently as Chief Operating Officer and Regional President for Enterprise Bank. Prior to that, he spent 7 years with then-M&I Bank and BMO Harris Bank, the last four as Executive VP and regional manager for BMO's Kansas City commercial banking group. Before arriving in Kansas City, Pepper spent several years in various roles with US Bank, Mellon Bank, and Marine Midland Bank.


Pepper will remain involved in the Kansas City professional community, as an alumni of the Civic Council Kansas City Tomorrow leadership program, a former member of the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce and Kansas City Area Development Corporation, and served as a representative for the United Way. He earned his M.B.A. from Long Island University in Brooklyn, N.Y. and is an alumnus of Western New England College in Springfield, Mass.
