New managers join our Rock Road office


Equity Bank announces the promotion of Jerome Johnson to Supervisor of its Wichita-based Call Center, and the hire of Shani Martin as customer service manager of its bank at 7701 E. Kellogg in Wichita, next to the Equity Bank corporate office.


Martin joins Equity Bank after four years in customer service at a financial institution and one year in client service for a banking core processor company. She is a graduate of Wichita State and a native of the area, growing up in Sedgwick. Martin will be responsible for customer service and teller operations at Equity Bank’s Rock Road and Kellogg branch, and will also contribute to overall retail strategy.


Johnson joined Equity Bank’s call center in June, and earned his promotion to supervisor in October. He will be responsible for management of the bank’s inbound call center located at Equity Bank headquarters, and serving as customer and technical support center for all 28 branches of Equity Bank.


Johnson is a native of Hutchinson and graduate of Hutchinson Community College. He is a veteran of the telecommunications industry, working in customer service capacities for VoiceStream and T-Mobile throughout the company’s expansion in the last 13 years.
