Brad Elliott

Chairman & CEO, Equity Bancshares;
President & CEO, Equity Bank

Brad Elliott has been Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Equity Bank, and Chairman and CEO of Equity Bancshares, Inc. since November, 2002. Mr. Elliott worked at Home State Bank and Trust in McPherson, Kansas for six years as Vice President, prior to joining Sunflower Bank in McPherson and eventually Wichita, Kansas, as Regional President. He served as Director of Marketing at Koch Industries for four years prior to forming Equity Bank. Mr. Elliott graduated from McPherson College in 1989 with a B.S. degree in Finance and Management, and currently serves on Board of Trustees and Chairs the Financial Affairs Committee. Mr. Elliott also serves on the Wichita Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, the Shocker Athletic Scholarship Organization (SASO) board, the PCS Advisory Board, the Via Christi Health board of directors, and the Habitat for Humanity board of directors. He was a Wichita Business Journal "40 Under 40" honoree in 2001.

Julie Huber

EVP, Chief Credit Officer

Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer Julie Huber joined Equity Bank in January 2003. Upon graduating from McPherson College in 1992 with B.A. degrees in Business Administration and History, Ms. Huber began her banking career with Peoples Bank and Trust in McPherson, Kansas, and spent eight years at Sunflower Bank, responsible for the retail, operational, compliance and security functions of 29 retail locations. She successfully implemented and managed a training department and call center for the bank specializing in both customer service and sales activities. Ms. Huber graduated from the Stonier Graduate School of Banking in 2006, and is a 2012 graduate of the Bank Leaders of Kansas (BLOK), sponsored by the Kansas Bankers Association. She was named as an honoree of the Wichita Business Journal "40 under 40" in 2008, and Wichita Business Journal “Women in Business” honoree in 2013. Julie is currently serving as Treasurer for the Kansas Jumpstart Coalition, which promotes financial literacy across the state of Kansas, and also serves as an executive board member for the Andover Advantage Foundation in Andover, Kansas.

Bruce Benyshek

EVP-Chief Financial Officer, Equity Bank

Bruce Benyshek rejoined Equity Bank in 2011 as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He chairs the ALCO committee and is responsible for all treasury functions. A graduate of Ft. Hays State University, Bruce was CFO at Sunflower Bank in Salina between 2008 and 2011, but previously served as EVP and CFO of Equity Bank between 2005 and 2008. He also worked at Farm Credit Bank in Wichita. Bruce has experience not only in the banking industry, but also with Allen, Gibbs & Houlik where he worked primarily in business valuation, M&A and other special projects. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant, Certified Valuation Analyst and Certified Merger and Acquisition Advisor.

Jennifer Johnson

EVP, Chief Operating Officer,
Chief Information Officer

Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer/Chief Information Officer Jennifer Johnson joined Equity Bank in January 2012 after serving as the EVP/COO/CIO for Sunflower Bank in Salina, Kansas for 27 years. At Sunflower Bank, she helped the organization grow from an asset base of $100 million in one community to a $1.7 billion regional bank with markets throughout Kansas, Missouri, and Colorado. Jennifer earned a bachelor's degree in business from Benedictine College and an MBA from Kansas Wesleyan. Jennifer was honored as the 2007 Women of Achievement in Business and Industry and Kansas State University Alumni Fellow for the College of Technology.

Greg Kossover

EVP, Chief Financial Officer-Equity Bancshares

Greg Kossover joined Equity Bancshares as CFO of the holding company after serving as president of Wichita-based New Physicians Development Group. Prior to that, Kossover served as CEO of Value Place, helping the company grow to more than 150 locations in 25 states. Kossover served as president of Consolidated Holdings in Wichita, and was named a Wichita Business Journal 40 Under 40 recipient in 2002.

Rolando Mayans

EVP, Chief Risk Officer

Rolando Mayans rejoined Equity Bank for a second term in 2013 after he previously worked as Chief Credit Officer of Equity Bank from 2005-2009. Mayans served as Senior Lending Officer for First National Bank of Hutchinson following his tenure as Chief Credit Officer for Equity Bank.

Sam Pepper

EVP, Commercial Banking Leader

Pepper joined Equity Bank in July 2013 as EVP and commercial banking leader. Most recently, Pepper served as Chief Operating Officer and Regional President for Enterprise Bank. Prior to that, he spent 7 years with then-M&I Bank and BMO Harris Bank, the last four as Executive VP and regional manager for BMO’s Kansas City commercial banking group. Pepper earned his M.B.A. from Long Island University in Brooklyn, N.Y. and is an alumnus of Western New England College in Springfield, Mass.

Patrick Harbert

EVP, Sales and Service

Director of Sales and Service Patrick Harbert joined Equity Bank in August of 2003. Patrick holds a BA in Business with a minor in finance from Friends University. Before joining Equity Bank, Patrick was the Dodge City Market President for Sunflower Bank from June 1998 to August 2003. Prior experience also includes Branch Management roles with Commercial Federal Bank, Bank of America, and Emprise Bank. Patrick was an honoree of the Wichita business Journal "40 under 40" in 2007. He is currently a member of the Bank Leaders of Kansas (BLOK), sponsored by the KBA.

Beth Money

EVP, Retail Director

After graduating from Bowling Green University in Ohio, Beth Money spent nine years in retail banking in the Columbus, Ohio area for US Bank. She joined Equity Bank after serving as VP, District Manager for US Bank in Kansas City, overseeing 16 US Bank locations in the KC metro area, and over 150 FTE. She held this position for almost 10 years, and was involved in the successful integration of branches and personnel from Mercantile Bank, then Firstar and then US Bank.

Mark Parman

SVP, Head of Special Assets

Mark Parman is Senior Vice President and Head of Special Assets, based in Kansas City, Mo. and Overland Park, Kansas. Parman manages all special asset activities for the bank, including OREO. Parman joined Equity Bank following the institution’s acquisition of First Community Bank, where he spent three years as Executive Vice President. Parman also served as CEO of Hillcrest Bank and then Solutions Bank in Kansas prior to joining First Community.

Patrick Salmans

SVP, Human Resources Director

Patrick Salmans joined Equity Bank in July 2012 as Senior Vice President/ Human Resources Director. He graduated from McPherson College in 1990 with a B.S. degree in Business Administration and is also a certified Senior Human Resources Professional through the Human Resources Certification Institute. Prior to Equity Bank, Patrick worked at Sunflower Bank in Salina between 1993 and 1997, and served as SVP between 2002 and 2012. Patrick also worked for ABX Air, Inc (dba Airborne Express) as a Senior Employee Relations Manager from 1997 to 2002. In 2006 he was selected as the Salina-area HR Professional of the Year and a State of Kansas honoree. Patrick previously served on the Board of Directors for the United Way in Salina, and currently serves on the state council for the Society of Human Resource Management for the State of Kansas.
